If you’ve priced switching power supplies lately, you may have noticed that they can be a bit pricey. To combat these cost you can convert an old PC’s power supply into a 12 volt source to power your radio gear.
Over the weekend my Macbook power supply failed. This is the second power supply that has failed me. A quick search of the Internet revealed that I’m not the only one experiencing this problem. After doing a little investigating I think I may have found the solution as to why the power plugs are failing.
For the last couple of weeks I’ve been busy learning Python, and as a new python programmer I’ve been reading everything I can find about the language. During my search I’ve come across a few python centric blogs that are worth checking out.
Now that SuperComputing 2009 has been over for a week and the Thanksgiving holiday is behind us, I think it’s about time that I wrote a review of my experience of the conference.
If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, then you may recall that I’ve been recently trying to learn Python. I’ve been working an a couple of projects, and one has to do with creating a command line twitter client. Below is what I have so far. It’s not much, but I’m still learning the ends and outs of Python.
Over the last few days I have been having flu like symptoms. This has left me either stuck in bed or very lethargic at work. Not wanting to completely waste my time I’ve been actively engaged in learning Python.
Well next Saturday I’ll be leaving Salt Lake City and heading to Portland Oragon for SuperComputing 2009. For those of you who don’t know SuperComputing is the international conference for High Preformance Computing, Networking, Stoage, and Analysis.
While this is by no means an attack anyones particular religion or beliefs, I do want to illustrate the point that we as humans can become zealous in our own beliefs about the world and technology as well.
Unless you’ve been in a coma for the last ten years you probably heard of Facebook…I did an experiment one week and didn’t log into Facebook, and my hypothesis was correct, I didn’t miss a single thing in anyone’s life. Why do I keep logging into Facebook?
When I got home today this was on my front porch. It looks like I’ll be spending tomorrow night installing it now that I found out how to do a clean install with the Windows 7 upgrade media. I think I’m also going to install Fedora 11 in a dual boot configuration.
